Our client Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) is a leading Defence and Government integrated support and training solutions provider. KBR Australia has been engaged in working with Defence in Australia for over 20 years and has developed core competencies in systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management and integrated logistics support, to provide technical and management assistance to a wide range of defence projects.

Kellogg Brown and Root Pty Ltd (KBR) is currently seeking applications from experienced and enthusiastic Tactical Data Link Trainers looking to further their career in training development, delivery and administration. We are looking for experienced Tactical Data Link (TDL) Trainers for multiple full-time, permanent positions.

As a member of KBR’s Modelling, Simulation and Training business unit, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team in the delivery and administration of a range of training products, This is a challenging role, which will require you to be an autonomous, high-performing self-starter, who offers well established Tactical Data Link experience and skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Tactical Data Link suite of courses including assessments to Australian Defence Force

  • Prepare training delivery including pre and post course set up and administration

  • Update, maintain and develop course curricula for blended training solution

  • Update and create Defence Learning Management Packages (LMP) in accordance with the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).

About you:

  • Defence Instructor and Assessor experience (Military or Civilian)

  • Experience in TDL as an operator or technician with a sound understanding of TDL operation, doctrine and procedures

  • Experience in Common Tactical/Operating Picture or Operational communications

  • Experience in developing technology curriculum for the use of training

  • Experience in developing Defence LMPs in accordance with SADL

  • Understanding of Joint Command and Control / Joint Command, Control, Communications and Computers decision-making and/or situational awareness tools.

  • Ability to prepare training delivery resources, including pre-course administrative tasks

  • Ability to maintain continuous improvement of training courseware and update to ensure consistent with current practices

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to produce high quality work that adheres to Style Guide requirements, within tight time frames

  • Currently hold at least one of the following – Cert IV in Training and Assessment, ADF or Single Service instructor and assessor or acceptable equivalent

  • Currently hold or have the ability to upgrade to an NV1 Australian Defence security clearance
