Job Description

TECHNICAL CONFIGURATION AND DATA MANAGER

  • Pitt Street Sydney Location
  • Key position supporting Business Intelligence

Our client Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) is a leading Defence and Government integrated support and training solutions provider. KBR Australia has been engaged in working with Defence in Australia for over 20 years and has developed core competencies in systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management and integrated logistics support, to provide technical and management assistance to a wide range of defence projects. 

You be responsible for the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to multiple functional areas. Additionally you will have the opportunity to contribute to functional strategy and  be responsible for global processes and procedures.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

​ Assist the Data Manager in the development of the Data Management Plan and the delivery of services in accordance with the plan

​ Analyse database structures and data format requirements in order to develop business rules and Standard Operating Procedures

​ Design and implement data surveillance, comparison, analysis and remediation processes

​ Prepare and conduct stakeholder workshops and Community of Practice meetings

​ Co-ordinate stakeholder inputs to systems development

​ Plan, co-ordinate and conduct system testing, remediation and demonstration

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

​ Understanding of enterprise information and data concepts with respect to governance, architecture, modelling, structures, warehousing, analysis, and business intelligence.

​ Relevant experience in managing data quality, accuracy, and integrity.

​ Demonstrated track record in implementing and managing business improvement initiatives, including process mapping and re-engineering experience.

​ Ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance or higher.

​ Experience in User Requirements capture

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

​ Completion of a degree in Information Technology or similar studies.

​ Significant experience in managing enterprise scale data integration.

​ Experience in the data architecture of a Naval Support environment particularly the key software applications; Financial Systems (ROMAN, BORIS), LSAR Tools (Omega – PS), Predict Risk Tool.

​ Experience in the use of Asset Management and Planning System (AMPS), Configuration and Management Tool – Maritime (CMT-M) and MILIS.

​ Current Defence security clearance
